08.10.2022 – Charity Event for Collecting Plastic Bottle Caps on the Square in Front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Varna

As part of the autumn edition of the “Recycling Festival – I Believe and Help”, held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, on the familiar square in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Varna, we successfully collected 22,000 kilograms of plastic bottle caps. These were packed in hundreds of big bags generously donated by the company Plastchim-T AD (plastchim-t.com/bg) and delivered for recycling. For the second time, we also collected coins in all denominations — BGN 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00 — raising a total of BGN 11,565. In addition, our donation box at the charity market raised BGN 5,418.30, thanks to the sale of many “products with a cause,” including: “Water with a cause” – 500 ml bottles by AQUA BELLA (aquabella.bg), spelt-based snacks by Perun Food Ltd. – “Pretzels with a Cause,” “Noodles with a Cause,” and “Couscous with a Cause,” under the PERUN brand (perun.bg), “T-shirts with a cause” and “Mugs with a cause” from our friends at BUHALMUGS.COM, and many other purpose-driven items made available to supporters. Once again, we received amazing support from our partners at SO FRESH (sofresh.bg) and NUTRIO BAR (nutrio.bar), who donated hundreds of sandwiches for the volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to make the event a success.
