28.09.2024 – 11th Consecutive Charity Event for Collecting Plastic Bottle Caps on the Square in Front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Varna

The 11th large-scale charity event titled “Recycling Festival – I Believe and Help 11”, dedicated to collecting plastic bottle caps, coins, and financial donations, was held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, on the square in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the city of Varna. During the event, a total of 19,500 kilograms of plastic bottle caps were collected, which resulted in a donation of BGN 14,625 transferred directly to the official bank account of the campaign. In addition, BGN 9,558.68 was raised through the collection of coins in all denominations — BGN 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00. A record-breaking BGN 10,084 was also raised during the organized charity market, which featured a wide variety of “products with a cause,” including: “Water with a cause” – 500 ml bottles by AQUA BELLA (aquabella.bg), spelt-based products by Perun Food Ltd. – “Pretzels with a Cause,” “Noodles with a Cause,” and “Couscous with a Cause,” under the brand PERUN (perun.bg), “T-shirts a cause” and “Mugs with a cause” from our friends at BUHALMUGS.COM, “Keychains a cause”  and “Magnets with a cause”, featuring the children’s ambulance and mobile blood donation unit, as well as the latest additions: “Children’s Pretzels with a cause” and “Bread with a cause”, produced by SAVIMEX (savimex.bg). We were also honored to receive generous support from the fantastic teams at NUTRIO BAR (nutrio.bar) and SO FRESH (sofresh.bg), who donated hundreds of sandwiches for the volunteers working tirelessly throughout the event. As always, our long-standing partners at FRATELLI Restaurants & Pizzerias (fratelli.bg) stood by our side, donating and delivering 150 freshly baked mini “pizzas with a cause” to support the volunteers gathered in front of the Cathedral.
