Благотворително събитие за събиране на пластмасови капачки на площада пред Катедрален храм „Св. Успение богородично“ град Варна

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign organized a charity event titled “Recycling Festival – I Believe and Help” on the square in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Varna. The event aimed to collect plastic bottle caps to raise funds in support of thousands of babies and children in need. Several thousand participants from across Eastern Bulgaria took part in the event and donated a total of 21,000 kilograms of plastic caps, which were sent for recycling. With the funds raised from these efforts, “I Believe and Help” purchases and donates specialized medical equipment, tools, and devices to support neonatal and pediatric care. In parallel with the cap collection, the event also featured the first-of-its-kind “Street School for Recycling,” where large educational panels showcased the processes of separating paper, plastic, and glass waste. Students and ecology majors engaged visitors of all ages, explaining the importance and environmental value of proper waste disposal and recycling. To spark interest among the youngest participants, we also introduced the eco-hero “Capman”, allowing children to transform into him for a moment and feel like real heroes for the environment.
