Charity Event for Collecting Bottle Caps
Another large-scale charity event titled “Recycling Festival – I Believe and Help”, dedicated to collecting plastic bottle caps, coins, and financial donations, was held on the last day of September – Saturday, September 30, 2023, on the square in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the city of Varna. During the event, we successfully collected 24 tons of plastic bottle caps and raised BGN 17,270 in coins of all denominations — BGN 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00. In addition, a record-breaking amount of BGN 18,587 was raised during the organized charity bazaar, which featured a wide array of “products with a cause,” including: “Water with a cause” – 500 ml bottles from AQUA BELLA (aquabella.bg), spelt-based products by Perun Food Ltd. – “Pretzels with a Cause,” “Noodles with a Cause,” and “Couscous with a Cause,” under the brand PERUN (perun.bg), “T-shirts with a cause” and Mugs with a cause” from our friends at BUHALMUGS.COM, “Keychains with a cause” and “Magnets with a cause” featuring the children’s ambulance and mobile blood donation unit, as well as the newest items: “Children’s Pretzels with a cause” and “Bread with a Cause”, produced by SAVIMEX (savimex.bg). We were once again supported by the fantastic sandwich companies NUTRIO BAR (nutrio.bar), SO FRESH (sofresh.bg), and THE SANDWICH BANDITS (facebook.com/sandwichbandits), who generously donated hundreds of sandwiches for the volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the event to make it all possible.
