Donations No. 25, No. 26, No. 27, No. 28, No. 29, No. 30, and Hundreds of Additional Items
On July 25, 2024 (Thursday), at the main building of St. Anna University Hospital – Varna, located at 100 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd., Vladislav Nikolov, Antonia Antonova, and members of the “I Believe and Help” Association officially donated to Dr. Krasimir Petrov, Director of St. Anna Hospital, a substantial set of brand-new medical devices, equipment, and hundreds of surgical instruments, with a total value of nearly BGN 150,000. The donation includes a state-of-the-art surgical lamp, operating tables, an electrosurgical unit, a phototherapy lamp for infants, and hundreds of modern surgical instruments, making this the largest donation ever made to the hospital to date.
Vladislav Nikolov, founder of the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign, expressed heartfelt thanks for the continued support, trust, and faith of everyone who has stood by the campaign over the past 10 years — helping to support causes that benefit thousands of babies, children, and adults. He extended special thanks to all partner companies that support the campaign through the distribution and sale of cause-branded products such as water, pretzels, noodles, couscous, bread, children’s snacks, pizza, boza, tickets, cups, t-shirts, and many other items carrying the “I Believe and Help” logo. Thanks to these efforts, the campaign is able to generate tens of thousands of BGN in donations each month. Vladislav Nikolov also acknowledged that this large-scale donation to St. Anna Hospital was made possible with the invaluable support of business partners and suppliers of medical equipment, tools, and devices — specifically Dutchmed International Ltd., B. Braun Medical Ltd., and GK Engineering Group Ltd., who provided significant discounts on the donated items.
Dr. Krasimir Petrov, Executive Director of the hospital, and Dr. Rumen Hristov, Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department, expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers of “I Believe and Help”, now recognized as the largest donor in the hospital’s history, and to every individual contributor for their compassion and support for these vital causes. Each year, the Pediatric Surgery Department at St. Anna treats, diagnoses, and performs surgeries on thousands of children, delivering full-spectrum surgical care for congenital and acquired diseases of the lungs and digestive system in children aged 0 to 18 years from the regions of Varna, Burgas, Dobrich, Ruse, Razgrad, Shumen, Silistra, and even international patients.
Dr. Petrov reminded attendees that St. Anna Hospital handles all emergency pediatric surgical cases in the region, including many severe cases referred from other parts of the country.
