The only pediatric/neonatal ambulance donated to the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment in Obstetrics and Gynecology “Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stamatov” – Varna, and a brand-new, fully equipped ambulance branded “I Believe and Help”, valued at over BGN 160,000, was officially presented and donated on December 11, 2024, in the hospital courtyard.
Vladislav Nikolov and Antonia Antonova, founders of the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign, handed over the keys to the new ambulance to Prof. Dr. Emil Kovachev, Director of the hospital, with wishes that the vehicle be used in good health and longevity in service to the youngest patients and the specialists who care for them.
During the donation event and press conference, held in the courtyard of the hospital, Vladislav Nikolov reminded attendees that by the end of 2024, the “I Believe and Help” campaign had completed donations totaling over BGN 800,000, which include more than 25 pieces of medical equipment, devices, tools, and supplies – such as the first pediatric/neonatal ambulance for the city of Varna, and Bulgaria’s first mobile blood donation unit (blood donation ambulance), all in support of thousands of babies, children, and adults.
He also reminded attendees that the campaign recently launched its largest national cause to date, aiming to raise approximately BGN 1,000,000 (one million leva) to purchase and donate five new mobile blood donation units to the Regional Centers for Transfusion Hematology in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Sofia, and Burgas, in support of millions of people across Bulgaria.
Father Yasen, from the Varna and Veliki Preslav Diocese, gave a blessing over the donation. The event was attended by many distinguished guests and partners, including:
