On May 22, 2025, in honor of World Blood Donor Day (June 14), Vladislav Nikolov – founder of the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign – officially handed over the keys and donated the second mobile blood donation unit in Bulgaria under the “I Believe and Help” initiative to Dr. Petya Mateeva, Director of the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology (RCTH) – Stara Zagora. The “I Believe and Help” mobile blood donation unit is the first of its kind for RCTH – Stara Zagora, fulfilling a dream that has spanned decades. It will support all doctors, nurses, and specialists during their organized mobile blood donation drives.
The second “I Believe and Help” mobile blood donation unit in Bulgaria is valued at nearly BGN 200,000 and was purchased with funds raised from collected and recycled plastic bottle caps in the city of Varna (which represent only a very small portion of the total cost of the unit), tens of thousands of coins, and numerous monetary donations made to the official bank account by companies, corporations, private organizations, as well as through the daily purchase of cause-branded products available in retail stores and online – over 70 cause-branded products, items, and services bearing the “I Believe and Help” logo have contributed to the initiative, including AQUA BELLA branded “Water with a cause”; “Spelt Pretzels”, “Couscous”, and “Noodles with a cause” by the company PERUN; “Children’s Pretzels” and “Sliced Bread with a cause” from Zlatna Dobrudzha by SAVIMEX; “Pizzas with a cause” from FRATELLI Restaurants & Pizzerias; BIG BOZZ branded “Boza with a cause”; “Granola”, “Rustic Sourdough Bread”,”Chickpea Bread”, and “Orange Bears with a cause” from ZLATNOTO ZRANCE Bakery & Stores; “Salads with a cause” from LE CHEF Restaurants; “Tickets with a cause” from PFC LUDOGORETS RAZGRAD; “Overnight stays with a cause” from KINGS VALLEY MEDICAL & SPA HOTEL; monthly donations from the websites MyMunche, Ot Mama za Mami, and many others.

The “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign has set the goal of donating four more mobile blood donation units by the end of 2025 to the remaining Regional Centers for Transfusion Hematology in the cities of Plovdiv, Sofia, Pleven, and Burgas.
Let us recall that the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign was established in 2015 in the city of Varna. Over the past 10 years, the campaign has donated more than 25 pieces of medical equipment, devices, and apparatuses, along with hundreds of medical supplies and instruments. Among these generous contributions are two brand-new specialized pediatric/neonatal ambulances under the “I Believe and Help” name, as well as the first mobile blood donation unit in Bulgaria bearing the same brand. The latter was donated at the end of 2023, and according to specialists working with it, in just over a year and a half since the donation, interest in voluntary blood donation has increased by more than 20%.
