Stara Zagora Hosts First “Fair of Goodness” in Support of “I Believe and Help” Mobile Blood Unit

For the first time, on April 27, 2025 (Sunday), the charitable event “Fair of Goodness – Stara Zagora” will take place in “Artillery” Park, Stara Zagora. The initiative brings together organizations, clubs, and communities with a shared cause – raising funds to be donated to the “I Believe and Help” Association in support of their national mission to purchase five “I Believe and Help” mobile blood donation units for the Regional Centers for Transfusion Hematology in the cities of Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Burgas, and Sofia.
The “Fair of Goodness” event will take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and will offer a rich program focused on compassion, unity, belief, and motivation for a better future. The organizers and their supporters have prepared a large second-hand market, attractions and workshops for children, various competitions for both children and adults, numerous food stalls, and a stage performance. All attractions will have a set participation fee, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated in support of the specific cause!
.The cause of raising donations and funds for the purchase and donation of “I Believe and Help” mobile blood donation units is extremely valuable and significant, as the percentage of voluntary and unpaid blood donors in Bulgaria remains very low – only 22–23 per 1,000 people. Only 23% of donated blood comes from volunteers, while the rest is provided mainly by relatives of those in need, which makes the process complex and costly from an organizational standpoint. The Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology (RCTH) – Stara Zagora plays a key role in providing blood products to hospitals in the region by organizing regular donation campaigns. The purchase of an “I Believe and Help” mobile blood donation unit will enable greater access to blood donors in various settlements outside the city of Stara Zagora, expand the reach of donation campaigns, and help save more lives.
