26.04.2025 – 12th Charity Event for Collecting Plastic Bottle Caps on the Square in Front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, city of Varna

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the 12th large-scale charity event titled “Recycling Festival – I Believe and Help 12” was held on the square in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Varna. The event focused on collecting plastic bottle caps, coins, and financial donations. For another consecutive year, tens of thousands of people of all ages participated, and the results were remarkable – 26,000 kilograms of plastic bottle caps were collected, which generated a donation of BGN 20,800 transferred directly to the official bank account of the campaign, where anyone can continue to contribute in support of our charitable causes:

As always, the event featured the “I Believe and Help” charity bazaar, where we raised an impressive BGN 15,396.50. Supporters could make a donation (100% of which goes directly to our causes) in exchange for a variety of mission-branded products offered by our dedicated partners, including:

•  “Water with a cause” – available in 0.5L, 1.5L, 5L, and 10L bottles, produced by AQUA BELLA;
•  “Pretzels with a cause,” “Noodles with a cause,” and “Couscous with a cause” – made from spelt, under the PERUN brand;
•  “Children’s Pretzels with a cause” and “Bread with a cause” – from the brand Zlatna Dobrudzha by SAVIMEX;
•  “ T-shirts with a cause” and “Mugs with a cause” – featuring the “I Believe and Help” children’s ambulance and mobile blood donation unit, produced by BUHALMUGS.COM
•  “Air fresheners with a cause”, shaped like the “I Believe and Help” children’s ambulance, made by AREON;
•  “Car stickers with a cause” – for cars, vans, and trucks;
•  “Keychains with a cause” and “Magnets with a cause”, featuring the “I Believe and Help” children’s ambulance and blood donation unit ;
•  Homemade cookies, honey cakes, orange bears, sourdough bread, rustic village bread, and other delights from “ZLATNOTO ZRANCE” Bakeries & Stores.

The event was also supported by our long-time partners at FRATELLI Restaurants & Pizzerias (fratelli.bg), who generously donated and delivered nearly 200 freshly baked “pizzas with a cause” for the volunteers at the square. Our friends at SOFRESH (sofresh.bg) contributed by donating around 200 lemonades. To our great delight, we welcomed our newest partner, LE CHEF Restaurants, who joined the effort by providing 200 delicious sandwiches for the volunteers. The professionals at the pastry shop “SKLADAT” OOD / Wine & Liquor Store once again supported the event by bringing hundreds of handmade sweets.

In addition, we collected a total of BGN 14,817.16 in coins of all denominations – BGN 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00 – which were sorted, counted, and consolidated by the team at monotes.bg.

We express our sincere gratitude to professional photographer Ivaylo Kostadinov, who, once again, joined us and captured countless emotions through hundreds of stunning photographs.

We, the organizers of the “I Believe and Help” Charitable Campaign, extend our heartfelt gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers at the square and the bottle cap sorting center, to the dozens of police officers, to all our partners and supporters, and, most importantly, to the thousands of individuals who contributed their bottle caps, coins, or monetary donations during the event.
